On Valentine's Day restaurants fill up early, tables sit close together and the menu is the same for everyone. A romantic dinner with a private chef at your apartment in central Florence or at the villa where you are staying is the opposite: one table, your own pace and a menu designed around you.
The chef cooks on site and serves every course. When the evening ends, the kitchen is already tidy.
A menu built around you
We start with a simple question: is there a dish that reminds you of your first date, a trip, the city where you met? From there we build a menu of four or five courses with seasonal ingredients. In February Tuscany offers black truffle, artichokes, citrus fruit and fish from the Tyrrhenian Sea.
If one of you has an intolerance or follows a particular diet, the menu stays the same for both of you: no alternative dish served on the side.
At home, in a villa or in a historic residence
We cook in your apartment in Florence, in a country house or in the villa you have rented for the weekend, in the Chianti, Val d'Orcia or Versilia. A home kitchen with an oven and a hob is enough: the chef brings the rest.

A proposal, an anniversary or simply an evening for two
Many Valentine's dinners have a precise reason: a marriage proposal, an anniversary, a return to Florence. If you are planning a proposal, we coordinate quietly with you on timing and details, so the moment comes exactly when it should.
On request we also take care of the flowers and the table, with every cost listed in the quote before you confirm.
When to book
In 2027 Valentine's Day falls on a Sunday, and many couples celebrate on the evening of Saturday 13 February. These dates go quickly: write to us by January.

Does the chef stay all evening?
The chef serves every course and leaves the kitchen tidy. After that, the evening is yours.
