A dinner in the heart of Florence
Florence is best enjoyed from inside a home rather than at a booked table. We lay the table on the terrace of a penthouse with a view over the rooftops and the bell tower, in the hall of a historic residence, in the courtyard of a palazzo. We cook with what is in your kitchen and leave everything in order at the end of the evening, while you stay with your guests.
It is the format for the occasions you want to keep to yourself: a dinner for two, a proposal, a birthday, or simply an evening when a restaurant is not enough.
The cooking, between tradition and the high end
Florentine cooking has dishes that do not need reinventing, only treating well: the right steak, the old first courses, seasonal vegetables. Around these we build a menu that can rise as high as you like, up to fine dining, with produce from the Sant'Ambrogio and Central markets and the wines of Chianti.
If you like, we bring a tasting to the table, with the Tuscan reds or the bottles from your own cellar. We design the menu around you, not around a price list.

We work in Florence in the centre and the Oltrarno, in apartments and historic residences, and in the hills around the city, from Fiesole to Bellosguardo and Arcetri, up to the villas of the Florentine Chianti. On request we travel across all Tuscany.
From your request to the night of the dinner
You send us an email and we start from there. We want to know how many seats there will be around the table, which evening you have in mind and the tone you want to give the dinner, intimate or grand. On that we draw the menu, refine it together and put an honest quote in writing.
On the chosen night our chef turns up at your door with the shopping already done, lights the stove in your kitchen and brings the courses to the table one after another. When the last glass is empty, everything is put back in place and he disappears without a trace, except for the smell of what you have just eaten.
