Private chef in Chianti
People come to Chianti for the wine and the slow pace. The villas sit on top of the hills, the rows of vines reach almost to the front door, and dinner here is in no hurry to end. That dinner is what we look after, from one ridge to the next.
We bring a chef to the villas and farmhouses between Greve, Radda, Castellina and Panzano, with menus made to sit beside a Chianti Classico. If you already have the bottle in mind, we build the evening around it.
We work bespoke, from a dinner for two under the pergola to a long table of friends at sunset.
The territory on the plate
Here the cooking starts with what is around us: the new oil, the beef of the Valdarno, the vegetables of the estates, the cheeses of the farms. There is no need to overdo it. There is a need to respect the ingredients and let the wine do its part.
If you like, we bring a small guided tasting to the table, with the local reds or the bottles from your own cellar. Dinner becomes a way to get to know Chianti, without leaving your garden.
In the farmhouses and estates
We lay the table where you are: the loggia of a villa, the long table of a farmhouse, the lawn in front of the vines. We cook with what we find in the kitchen and leave everything in order at the end of the night. The service stays discreet, because the place you are in is the real protagonist.
Where we work
We work in Greve in Chianti, Radda, Castellina, Gaiole, Panzano and San Casciano, in the estates and wineries of Chianti Classico. On request we also travel towards the Sienese Chianti.
Frequently asked questions
Can you arrange a wine tasting during dinner?
Yes, if you like we make it part of the evening: we open the Chianti Classico reds, or your own bottles, and talk you through them course by course.
Do you work in agriturismi and rental villas too?
Of course. We cook in the farmhouses, the charming agriturismi and the rental villas of the area, adapting to the kitchen we find.
Can we use the bottles from our own cellar?
Yes. If you already have the wines you want to drink, we design the dinner around them. Otherwise we choose them together from the local estates.
Do your chefs speak foreign languages?
Yes, our chefs are multilingual and used to international guests, who are very much at home in Chianti.
